Manchester is most famous for being home to one of the most celebrated football teams in the world. It’s a huge city, with approximately 2.6 million people living within its boundaries. With more than 7 million living in the wider region you should have no problem finding people who want to play poker.

Getting around Manchester is easy using public transport, the metrolink tram service and busses are excellent; taxis are also reasonably priced and plentiful.

Manchester’s most famous poker player is probably Julian Gardner. Gardner joined the professional ranks at 16 straight from school and until recently he was the youngest ever player to win over $1,000,000 at tournaments, he made 21 final tables before the age of 21!
