Black Belt London Live: 12th - 14th March 2010

Black Belt London Live will take place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London. The event will be a $200+20 No Limit Hold'em freezeout and will run for three days from Friday March 12 to Sunday March 14. With starting stacks of 20,000 and a 45 minute clock, it's a pretty deep structure for such a low buy-in.

Black Belt have invited a number of familiar faces to participate in the event with the likes of Neil Channing, Nik Persaud, James Akenhead, Richard Ashby, Praz Bansi, Julian Thew, Marty Smyth and Jesse May already confirmed. These guys will be bounties and those who eliminate them will receive a signed belt, photo, and item of memorabilia brought to the event by that particular bounty.

We're expecting to max out at 300 runners, meaning the estimated prize pool will be around $60,000 with a first prize of $15,000. We're also offering massive incentives to our Black Belt Poker players that will increase their earnings for winning the event. This event WILL sell out with 115/300 max tickets gone as of Friday 19th Feb.

I personally know of about a dozen players waiting until the last minute to register just to wind Channing up but we strongly advise against this approach.

In addition the Vic have committed to spreading mixed games for the duration of the event so if any of you degenerates would like to try your hand at 2-7 Triple Draw,Razz Omaha Hi-Lo etc. Come on down.

There really are no excuses for missing this event. I know of one bar who ran a Sunday afternoon 10 man SnG £15 with one guaranteed ticket. Why not get your local landlord to run a super satellite?
