Pineapple Poker: How to play...
Tags:
In pineapple players are dealt 3 cards instead of 2 to begin with. There is a round of betting before the flop comes out (3 cards just like in Texas hold'em) and then there is another round of betting. This is how a hand of Pinapple Hold’em is played:
- Hole Cards. 3 cards are dealt face down to each player around the table.
- The Flop. 3 cards are dealt face up on the table for everyone to see and these are called ‘community’ cards. Each player must now discard one of their 3 hole cards
- The Turn. Alongside the flop a fourth card is dealt face up onto the table.
- The River. A fifth card is dealt to the table face up to make up the five cards that you have to match with.
The five cards on the table are for everyone, they are called the community cards. You make your hand by, using any of the seven cards (the two in your hand and the five on the table) to make the best poker hand that you can using five. All the players at the table have access to the community cards. When playing for money there are four rounds of betting, one round after each card is dealt.
